Peerzada Mansoor hails Dr Drabu for presenting a real welfare budget

Jammu, January 12 (KN0) : Hailing the Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu for taking substantial initiatives towards making Jammu and Kashmir a real welfare state, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain Suharwardy, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), General Secretary today said it is a caring and compassionate Budget encompassing the aspirations and protecting the most vulnerable. “The Budget presented by Dr Drabu is aimed at the welfare of every section of the society including the poorest of the poor, the students, farmers, government employees, traders, businessmen, industrialists, tourism sector, journalists, newspaper owners, women and almost every other section of the society,” Peerzada Mansoor said and added that J&K is slowly heading towards a fiscally prudent and economically stable state with the landmark structural interventions made by the Finance Minister over the past three years. “We are thankful to Mufti Sahab and Mehbooba Ji for having picked up gifted Drabu Sahab for the key job and with the sheer grit of his economic acumen and hard work, he is working tirelessly for taking J&K towards a real welfare economy,” he said and added that it is for the first time in the fiscal history of J&K that the government employees are getting 7th Pay Commission Recommendations without coming out on the roads even for a day, while in the past they had to resort to protests even for getting the Dearness Allowance, which otherwise is their right. It is heartening to note that despite the State being riddled with so many problems and challenges on political and economic fronts, Dr Drabu’s endeavour of rolling out a welfare roadmap for the State ushering a prosperous future for the State. Peerzada Mansoor also hailed the Finance Minister for rearranging the Budget presentation to ensure early release of funds for the developmental works which has started showing tangible results on the ground. “We are sure that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti, the State would soon usher into an era of peace, development and prosperity,” he said.
